Has anyone succesfuly found a script or program that can be run within d7 auto process to disable startup items permanently on a machine?
ideally with a white list / black list that could be built up as we service more and more machines.

i have had a look around online and on the forum and can't see anything

its the only thing missing from our automated servicing that makes it fully automated

Thanks
Ben

www.screwloose.com.au/cleanupstartup

It's not an exhaustive script. I use it on my GFI clients machines to get rid of some of the junkware-related stuff I come across.

Ben, you need to check out MalwareScan inside d7's Malware page in the Pre-Removal near the bottom. that is EXACTLY what MalwareScan is for, in addition there is the Pre-MalwareScan above that which automatically deletes any items you blacklist within MalwareScan itself.
