1. Try to give more than you take, when possible.
2. Don't be a prick.
I have been building my website here and crikey it is a pain in the backside, but I am liking the results.
The question is, would any of you guys be interested in Link Swapping? for SEO purposes?
From my understanding, another IT shop linking to my site would raise the SEO ranking of my site, and vice versa.
Would anyone be interested?
I'm located in Mawson Lakes South Australia so, for most of you guys, I am not competition.
Let me know via PM if you are interested and we can do a link swap if you like.

I know this post is old, but I just wanted to bring it up for any new members. In a recent SEO course I took, the idea of Linkswaping came up. Google doesn't look to favorably on the idea and if you happen to do this sort of thing you can get your website kicked off Google. I would say do SEO the right way, and if you are doing a "Linkswap" try doing it by way of a blog post or the like. If you have a page that says something like "Hey, take a look at all those businesses that paid me to put their link on my page.", it's not helping you or them. In fact that sort of thing will get you knocked down in the rankings real fast now.
