Ad block plus

Postby xide » Sat Sep 27, 2014 1:39 am

I easily have adblock plus working by having d7 download and run the exe. However the Firefox version is different, where I would have to go to the plug in page or adblocks's site and install it manually. I know there is an xpi (i think that's the extension) but I'm unsure of an easy way to do this.

I just recently started doing this as part of my maintenance so I would like to make it as automated as possible. Any ideas? Solutions?

Thanks in advance
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.....Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle. I'm afraid I can't explain myself, sir. Because I am not myself, you see?

I have it run a "firefox.exe http://.... for the adblock site. If firefox isn't found, it errors out. Same with Chrome.

attached. only catch is you gotta click once to confirm the install from inside the browser.

FYI to those looking for configs, if you can't get free help here, dSupportOnline.com can create configs to order.

I've always been a fan of ABP, but recently have been using µBlock. Downside? Nothing for FF yet.

BTW xide, I appreciate what you are doing with ABP. We like to do the same. ;)
