Trying to set this up myself. Maybe it' be easier to integrate into DSS.

Trying to use a script to keep the system alive during maintenance.
http://keislertechnologysoultions-public.sharepoint.com/privatefiles/KeepAlive.zip

The only problem is i cant figure out how to get support to just kick it off and forget that it's there (like the "start" command)

right now it just keeps the tread alive until the script is terminated.

Update:
my mistake I should be calling it a Program or tool, as it's written in C++.
Anyway it works just fine when i use it manually,
All it does is keep the system awake.

I don't know why I was thinking that wasn't necessary, but I can add that to dSupportSuite as a native feature just like in D7, no need for 3rd party apps at all...

I'll put that into the next release.

In fact, it's already done in v1.6 just uploaded! I didn't include a 'setting' for it, because it should always be on - so it is. Any time Maintenance is run whether it is manually or scheduled, it will automatically disable system sleep mode, re-enabling as it completes. It's all native API no registry hacks either.
