Monitoring dSS Reports via Email

How do you manage your emails?

I personally use a gmail account to generate dSS emails, Heartbeats, Maintenance Reports, etc.

Unfortunately gmail's filtering is a bit well, yeah...

I filter for the following

From: *the address you have assigned to send out emails in dSS*
Subject: Heartbeat OR Maintenance
Has the words: disk OR ntfs OR disabled OR kernel

I then Star it, Never send it to spam, and Categorize it as an Update. Done.

My other filters essentially take an email with a given client id, and label it.

Filtering in this manner allows me to reduce the visible dSS alerts I have to pay attention to significantly.

Now the down side to this is still that, any flagged email I get in this manner, still must be read through with a fine tooth comb, before I figure out specifically what the problem is. Because I am getting so few of these kinds of messages though, the system works quite well.

Do you filter for any other keywords other than:

disk
disabled
ntfs
kernel

If so, post what you keep an eye out here if you would be so kind.

Thanks!
