Hi Nick,
In the common tweaks section under Power Plan can you add the Ultimate Performance power plan option to the list?

that sounds like something custom or otherwise not included on many systems, I certainly haven't seen this power plan, but in any case I would need the power plan's GUID in order to add it https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... y-settings and it'd be sure not to work on any system that didn't have that power plan already.

Nick,
Just trying to squeeze a little bit more out of the slower systems with Ultimate performance…..available from Windows 10 1803.

I don't seem to have that in 1809... just the usual three. oh I see, you have to do some trickery to enable it... probably it wasn't visible to me because I have a battery backup (so Windows thinks I'm on a laptop).

Let me see what I can do about this, it will take additional logic for me, since it isn't available in all builds so I'll have to default back to the high perf plan.

this won't be as easy as that. I don't seem to be able to set the power plan with powercfg, it says "not supported" when I use that GUID and I'm not sure if this is because I am on a system with a battery where the plan was hidden to begin with. I can enable the duplicate scheme it creates when you use that trick to allow usage of the power plan, but it's GUID is random, and that is looking like it won't be easy to get.

so while I can probably apply the plan to a system that already has the plan, if the system doesn't support it (meaning I have to do the -duplicatescheme thing) then I don't think I can do it... In these cases I would have to fall back to high performance.

I'll have to look more into it...
